From 30 August to 2 September, go back in time in Salou

Once again, Salou invites you to go back in time to our town’s medieval period: from 30 August to 2 September, check out the 23rd King Jaume I Festival!

In the context of the trip King Jaume I’s troops embarked on towards the conquest of Majorca in 1229, the capital of Costa Daurada gets its medieval clothes so that you can live a unique experience.

As usual, you’ll get to enjoy the Medieval Market due in the various streets of Salou’s Old Town and Plaza Bonet: handmade items, food, festive events… unmissable!

Besides, events such as the Medieval Encampment (near the local Market) or the Kid’s Corner (in the garden of Salou’s Public Library) will ensure the best fun for the whole family.

Finally, on Saturday 1 September, it is time for the main event of the Festival: the Procession of the King Jaume I and his Entourage, a historical enactment that will gather 300 actors, and that will kick off from Torre Vella to turn Salou into a unique historical festival.
