72 cars and 142 drivers and co-drivers from 27 countries will take part, between 5 and 8 October, in the 53rd RallyRACC Catalunya – Costa Daurada, as part of the FIA World Rally Championship. Are you ready for a unique event? Rev it up!
Salou will become the epicentre of RallyRACC Catalunya – Costa Daurada for the 13th edition on the trot. If you love motorsports, you’ll know by now the race could become decisive towards the final podium of the FIA World Rally Champions.
If you’d like to start getting ready for it, bear in mid the official opening ceremony will take place on Thursday 5 October, at 8pm, at Salou’s Passeig Jaume I. This very same spot will host the podium that will see the final awards ceremony and the legendary urban Special Stage, due on Saturday 7 at 5pm. First though, you’ll get to enjoy the spectacular Shakedown, a 3km mixed-surface stage that will take place in the capital of Costa Daurada.
As for the rest of stages, these are due between Friday 6 and Sunday 8 October. On Friday, stages will be on gravel and asphalt, whereas plain asphalt will be the main protagonist on Saturday and Sunday. In total, we’re talking about 19 special stages.
The most delicious Rally de Tapes
In parallel with RallyRACC Catalunya – Costa Daurada, Salou will host, between 29 September and 8 October, a brand new edition of Rally de Tapes, with 36 local establishments offering their best food creations for users to try.
Also, kids will get to try Mini Rally with tapas for the whole family with non-alcoholic drinks.
