Salou is an ideal destination for water sports. From 2 to 7 July, the capital city of Costa Daurada hosted the World Raceboard Championship, with 83 participants from all over the world.

The winner in the male category was Iván Pastor, with 8 victories out 11 stages; second was Nicolas Huguet, and third place was Francisco Pasqualin. As for female category, Blanca Manchón was the winner, with 8 victories out of 9 stages, and Tuuli Petaja-Siren y Aleksandra Blinnikka completed the podium.

The event, organised by Club Nàutic de Salou“>Club Nàutic de Salou, allowed for users to get to know Salou in terms of sailing facilities. And so, willing to discover Salou while sailing across the Mediterranean and enjoying our extraordinary coastline?

The capital of Costa Daurada was awarded with a certificate to Sailing Sports Destination, by Agència Catalana de Turisme, and will host the Techno 293 World Championship between 21 and 29 October.
