The 6th Trobada Ral·li Clàssics Costa Daurada is back to Salou with over 100 participants

Are you a car enthusiast and dream about classic motors? How about admiring models suchas a 1918 Ford T, a Rolls Royce Wraith or a 1920 Citroën B2? Have you ever seen the majesty of a 1902 Ache Freres? Could you still remember the gorgeous sound made by a 12-cylinder Lincoln Continental Cabriolet? Be awake then, because Salou will home the 6th Trobada Ral·li Clàssics Costa Daurada meeting on Sunday 25 September.

Over 100 classic cars from every period will attend, from 1902 until 1990. Vehicles will come from the whole Tarragona territory, as well as from Catalonia, Spain and other countries.

Cartell Ral.li 2016

Besides the 1902 Ache Freres, the oldest car in the showing, and the Lincoln Continental Cabriolet, one of the 370 cars of this kind ever made, models by car makers such as Triumph, Studebaker, MG, Porsche, Dodge, Chevrolet, Lancia, Morgan, Seat and Renault, and Amercian car makers such as Ford or Corvette, among others, will be also attending the Trobada Ral·li Clàssics Costa Daurada.

Those attending will have a unique chance to watch them moving around, but also on a more personal way, thanks to the exhibition that will take place in Passeig Jaume I between 11.30h –moment when the rally should end in Salou– until 17h. The exhibition is expected to gather over 15.000 people, similar figures to previous editions.

The starting point for the rally will be the Modernist Villas of Salou, and will take the cars taking part towards La Pineda, Salou and Cambrils, finishing at Passeig Jaume I, Salou. The arrival of the classic cars will count on the music by “Cafè, copa i puro”, from La Sènia.

On the other hand, cars will be awarded according to their level of restoration and preservation. The highest award will be, as usual, the Silver Salonia, emblem of the rally, originally designed by Joan Blázquez.
