The passion of the 51 RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada makes it to Salou between 22 and 25 October

Do you like thrills? Are you a car enthusiast? If so, get ready because Salou will home the 51st RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada. The capital city of the Costa Daurada will become once again one of the main central points of the penultimate stage of the FIA Rally World Championship.

Here’s what you need to know if you want to make the most of this incredible event: RallyRACC will kick off on Thursday 22 October at 8am with the classic Shakedown, which has become one of the most acclaimed stages for the spectators, thanks to the easy access and the combination of tarmac and dirt track. The 2,97km circuit follows last year’s location, the so-called Emprius in Salou, and is a true aperitif for the special urban stage that will take place in Passeig Jaume I on Saturday 24 October. On Friday 23, visitors will have the chance to admire historical vehicles on an exhibition in the parc fermé in Passeig Jaume I.

The main attraction will take place on Saturday 24 with the 4th editon of the spectacular urban stage number 17 in Salou’s Passeig Jaume I, at 5.15pm. This 2,2km closed circuit will kick off at Port Esportiu and fishing at Carrer Verge del Pilar, after following a route round Passeig Jaume I, in parallel with Llevant beach, and then through Plaça de les Comunitats Autònomes, Plaça Francesc Germà and Avinguda del Principat.

Finally, on Sunday 25, and after the special stages of Guiamets, Pratdip and Duesaigües, cars will drive back to Salou for the final podium.

Rally… and tapas!

On the other hand, Salou will home the 4th Tapas Rally between 22 October and 1 November. This is a delicious selection of 51 tapas inspired in the Mediterranean food. Thus, and during the RallyRACC Catalunya-Costa Daurada, those establishments taking part will offer their food creations, with a drink, at just 2,50€. And as for kids, there will be a specially designed selection of tapas and non-alcoholic drinks.
